Our dear Abbot Emeritus Odo HAAS (korean name: O Do-hwan) OSB died in Fatima Hospital, which belongs to Daegu Priory of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing, during the afternoon of Sunday, 17 February 2019 at 3:13 p.m.

He was 88 years old and a professed monk for 66 years. He served as the first Abbot of Waegwan Abbey.  We ask you to pray for the peaceful repose of Abbot Emeritus Odo Haas.

May God grant him eternal life and heavenly peace.  His funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, 19 February 2019, at 2 p.m. in the church of Waegwan Abbey, followed by burial in the monastery cemetery.

Unser lieber Mitbruder Abt em. Odo HAAS (koreanischer Name: O Do-hwan) OSB verstarb heute Nachmittag, 17. Feb. 2019 um 15:13 im Fatima Krankenhaus, das zum Daegu Priorat, Missionsbenediktinerinnen Tutzing gehört, in seinem 88. Lebensjahr und im 66. Jahr seiner Profess. Er war unser 1. Abt in der Abtei Waegwan.

Wir bitten um das Gebet für unseren verstorbenen Mitbruder – möge er eingehen in den ewigen Frieden unseres himmlischen Vaters.

Das Requiem findet am Dienstag, den 19. Februar um 14 Uhr in der Abteikirche Waegwan statt, anschließend beerdigen wir unseren Mitbruder auf dem Klosterfriedhof.
