Current membership in the Academy is required to nominate a member to a vacant office on the Board. Nominees must be present at the convention to be elected.
At the biennial General Meeting in 2006 members will elect:
A Vice-President who will succeed to the Presidency in 2008
Three At-large Members who will each serve on the Board for a term of two-years. At-large Members may be re-elected to serve one second term.

The Nomination and Election Committee is now requesting and receiving nominations for the positions of Vice-President and three At-large Members. According to the Constitution (VI.2.) and By-Laws of the Academy (I.3.), the Vice-president is ex-officio Chair of the Nomination and Election Committee. The Vice-president in consultation with the Board of Directors is responsible for the nomination and election process. (Constitution, VI.2).
All members are invited to nominate Academy members to serve on the Board in the above positions. The Academy has been gifted with women and men of varied talents, and the number of Oblate members continues to increase. Place in nomination suitable candidates you know to serve on the Board.
Nominations may be submitted by any current member of the Academy. Only members of the Academy are eligible for nomination (By-Laws, V.1.D). Please submit your nominations by March 1, 2006. All nominees will be contacted and asked for their consent before being placed on the ballot.
