The North American division of Monastic Interreligious Dialogue held their board meeting at the Trappist abbey of Notre-Dame-du-Lac in Oka, Quebec. Plans were made for follow-up on the Gethsemani Encounter, as well as for celebrations of the year 2000 and the July workshop for local contact persons from the monasteries. New board members elected at that time were Sisters Virginia Matter, Barbara McCracken and Jeanne Ranek, and Father Dan Ward.
