The Meeting of July 17-21, 2007
The meeting of the Benedictine Musicians of the Americas coincided for the first time with the Monastic Liturgy Forum Conference that took place at Sacred Heart Monastery in Yankton, South Dakota, July 17-21, 2007.
Many Benedictine musicians responded to a call for texts. The texts were then sent to composers. Sister Patricia Ann Toscano OSB, Liturgical Music Director of Sacred Heart Monastery, coordinated the project. "Liturgical music has been an uninterrupted tradition in Yankton since the study of Gregorian Chant was introduced to the sisters by Bishop Marty in 1890." Sister Patricia Ann can be contacted at <sptoscano @ hotmail.com>.
