Pater Raphaël (Vincent) Calewaert OSB was born in Kortrijk on 14 February 1931. He made his profession of vows on 15 January 1953 and was ordained a priest on 27 July 1958. Pater Raphaël passed away at Sint-Andriesabdij Zevenkerken on 15 August 2018.
The Mass of Christian Burial was held for Pater Raphaël on 21 August 2018, followed by burial in the abbey cemetery. We commend Pater Raphaël (Vincent) Calewaert OSB to the prayers of the Benedictine Confederation.
